Hunee x Joe Otway (Higher Ground)
{PAIRED} arrives at Serpentine on August 15th with the second in our three-show summer series.
For the second time this summer, {PAIRED} takes over one of London’s most iconic cultural spaces: the Zaha Hadid-designed Magazine at Serpentine North, bringing together two singular creative forces from the worlds of music and culinary art.
This time, cult DJ Hunee joins forces with Joe Otway, the genius behind Manchester’s Higher Ground, for an evening of food and music beneath the curves of Zaha Hadid’s Magazine.
The night begins with a multi-course menu from Joe, accompanied by selections from Hunee’s ever-expanding record collection. Then, once the plates are cleared, the room shifts gear as Hunee delivers one of his famously wide-ranging sets, moving effortlessly between genres, eras and moods.
Few DJs shape a dancefloor quite like Hunee. Guided as much by instinct as encyclopaedic musical knowledge, his sets are equal parts discovery and celebration. Joe, meanwhile, is the visionary behind Manchester restaurant royalty, Higher Ground, and its two acclaimed offshoots, Flawd and Bar Shrimp.

Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a private viewing of the David Hockney exhibition at Serpentine North between dinner and the after-party.
